Privacy Policy

Limu Lab (Pty) Ltd built the Limu app as a subscription based app. This SERVICE is provided by Limu Lab at a cost and is intended for use as is.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which are accessible at Limu unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.

Policy Statements

Notice, Collection, Use and Retention of PII

  • Provide notice and choice to individuals regarding information collection and use
  • Review purpose of PII collected, used and retained for appropriate business needs annually or as needed
  • Do not store, use, or process consumer or employee PII without a valid business need and/or
    incompatible with us
  • Do not sell, rent or lease PII to any third-party vendor
  • PII may be disclosed to Third Parties only for customer sponsored activities. Third Parties used for
    processing or storing information must agree to conform to our Privacy Policy
  • Disclosure of PII will be limited to our employees who have a legitimate business need
  • PII will be retained only as long as needed to fulfil the business purpose or as required by law and as
    outlined within our organisation

 

Information Accuracy and Integrity of PII

  • Consumers and Employees will have reasonable access to verify or challenge the accuracy of their PII
  • In accordance with our Information Asset Classification Policy and Information Asset Classification
    Technical Standards and Guidelines (to be drafted), industry standard methods will be used to help
    ensure the integrity of collected data, including various error checking schemes
  • Regular backups of critical information will be created and stored to help ensure that corrupted data
    can be restored

Information Protection of PII

  • In accordance with our Information Asset Classification Policy and Information Asset Classification
    Technical Standards and Guidelines (to be drafted), industry standard encryption is needed to protect
    the confidentiality and integrity of PII transmitted over public networks
  • Access will be physically and logically restricted and limited to only those Company X employees with a
    valid business need to access PII

Enforcement and Oversight

  • PII will be reviewed annually by Information Asset Owners to help ensure that better commercial
    practices are in place to obtain and protect PII
  • The Information Officer will work with Information Asset Owners to help ensure that reviews are
    complete and accurate
  • The Information Officer will help ensure that collection and use policies comply with relevant privacy
    and data protection laws and regulations i.e. POPI Act
  • The Information Officer will provide oversight for all third-party relationships, helping ensure that
    authorized third parties are notified of and agree to conform to our Data Privacy Policy and Privacy
    Notice (to be drafted).
  • If a breach of this policy is suspected, the Information Officer must be notified.

Information Collection and Use

For a better experience, while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to Name, Age, Contact Information. The information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy.

The app does use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you.

Log Data

We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through third-party products) on your device called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

Cookies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device's internal memory.

This Service does not use these “cookies” explicitly. However, the app may use third-party code and libraries that use “cookies” to collect information and improve their services. Children’s Privacy

These Services address children under the age of 13 but must registered by parents with consent given by Parents. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information directly from children under 13 years of age. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do the necessary actions.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
